Lexington, SC - The County of Lexington Department of Community Development will host a community meeting to present information, and receive feedback, regarding the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery Program, and the County’s ongoing flood recovery efforts.
The CDBG-DR Program was developed by the Federal government to assist in disaster recovery efforts, such as the ongoing efforts within Lexington County following the 2015 October rain event. The program is aimed to address the unmet needs of low- to middle-income residents that stem from natural disasters.
The meeting will include an updated summary of the County’s plan for flood-relief efforts through the CDBG-DR program, which will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for approval. It is important to note that details of the County’s plan are subject to change to meet Federal Government guidelines.
Lexington County residents that suffered from flood-related damages are encouraged to attend this meeting to learn more about disaster recovery relief efforts.
The meeting is as scheduled as follows:
Sept 1. 2016
6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m.
Seven Oaks Park – Seniors Room
200 Leisure Lane
