Lexington, SC - Top Forensic Pathologists Dr. Joel Sexton and Dr. William Armstrong have endorsed Frank Barron's campaign for Lexington County Coroner.
"What an honor to have two of South Carolina's most distinguished Forensic Pathologists endorse our campaign," said Barron. "As the Lexington County Coroner, I will bring stability, compassion and professionalism to the office - that is what Dr. Sexton, Dr. Armstrong and the late Dr. Gordon Hennigar have done for decades. I am very pleased earn the confidence of these great men."
Sexton, whose Newberry clinic is one of two that has handled cases from coroners from all over the state, has first-hand knowledge of Barron's performance.
"As a Forensic Pathologist, I have worked with Frank Barron on cases for decades. He has been exemplary in his work and I know without a doubt that he will make an outstanding coroner for Lexington County,” said Sexton.
Armstrong, a who practiced in Lexington and Richland Counties for decades, has a glowing review.
"In my humble opinion, Frank was the best coroner in the State of SC and a tremendous asset to the residents of Richland County," said Armstrong. "I believe he has the energy, enthusiasm and best plans of those running for this post in Lexington and he would also be a tremendous asset to that county."
Hennigar, who has the Medical University of South Carolina's Pathology Museum Collection named after him, always had the utmost confidence in Barron.
"If, uniformally, all the coroners in South Carolina were as competent and cooperative, I would rest easily that justice in the public interest is being served at a high level of confidence," Hennigar said prior to his passing.
The general election for Lexington County Coroner is on Tuesday, November 8th. In-person absentee voting is now available Monday through Friday at the Lexington County Registration and Elections office. For more information, visit www.CoronerBarron.com.
