LEXINGTON, S.C. — Three instructors at Lexington Technology Center recently received a “golden” honor.
LTC Finance Teachers Amy Kuntz, Marcy O'Brien and Randy Scott have been named 2015–2016 recipients of the Working in Support of Education (W!SE) Gold Star Teacher Award. To be considered for a Gold Star, a teacher must achieve a 93 percent pass rate in at least one of their classes on either the Fall 2015 or Spring 2016 W!SE Financial Literacy Certification Test.
The Financial Literacy Certification Program was created to educate high school students about personal debt, financial planning and how to manage their money in college.
The mission of W!SE is to provide educational support services nationwide, build financial literacy, foster business and social entrepreneurship, and prepare students for college and the global workplace.
