Springdale, PD (Paul Kirby) Springdale Police Chief Kevin Cornett has said that his department has now issued an arrest warrant to charge Miguel Marquez-Herra with possession of a firearm by an unlawful alien.
Springdale’s officers originally assisted the US Department of Homeland Security with arresting Herra and a female associate on federal fraud charges last week at a property near Wattling and Old Barnwell Roads in that town.
According to a spokesman for Homeland Security, they originally arrested Herra and Ivonne Baez-Fonesca on charges stemming from the sale of falsified documents at a local flea market. Those papers included fake social security cards and other identification cards like SC driver’s licenses.
A person who is found guilty of violated this law is guilty of a felony. Upon conviction, that individual may be fined as much as ten thousand dollars and may also be sentenced to ten years in prison.
