Man leads deputies on a pursuit in a stolen vehicle
Gaston, SC - 28-year-old Daniel Wilson of Swansea led law enforcement officers on a chase Monday night that ended with his arrest just east of Gaston.
According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the sheriff’s department, Wilson initiated the pursuit when deputies attempted to perform a traffic stop on a vehicle he was driving after they confirmed it was stolen. The chase continued for more than 17 miles before they were able to get him stopped in the vicinity of State Pond Road and Hwy 321 south just before to the Busbee Road intersection.
Myrick said at this point, Wilson was taken into custody without further incident. There were no injuries reported as a result of the pursuit.
