Chapin PD now believe they are looking for a Nissan and not a Jeep in the armed robbery of the Rite

Chapin, SC (Paul Kirby) – Chapin Police investigators have modified the type of vehicle they are looking for in connection with a recent robbery of a pharmacy.

They are asking for citizens’ help in locating a robbery suspect from a January 14, 2017, incident that occurred at 10:32 pm at the Chapin Rite Aid, located at 1401 Chapin Road.

The suspect they are seeking is described as a black male in his mid- 20s, with a height of 5’6” to 5’8”, weighing about 160 to 180 pounds, and having light skin with freckles. Witnesses described the suspect’s attire as a white sweat shirt with a grey colored hoodie, dark colored bandanna, dark colored pants, white Air Force One sneakers, and dark colored gloves.

The suspect brandished a dark colored semi-automatic hand gun and subsequently stole an undisclosed amount of money.

They now believe that the suspect fled in a light to silver colored Nissan Xterra and not a Jeep Wrangler as released earlier.

Anyone with any information regarding this crime is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 1-888 CRIME SC.
