District Four school bus has minor damage after brush with truck on Meadowfield Road

Gaston, SC (Paul Kirby) A Lexington School District Four bus had its mirror damaged, but nothing else, when a passing tractor trailer struck it in a close call Wednesday morning.

According to Lisa Ingram, spokesperson for the district, the bus received only minor damages when it was sideswiped by the truck. She said that only two children were on the bus at the time and that no one was injured in the mishap.

Witnesses reported that the truck actually continued on after the mirrors hit as if the driver was unaware that the truck and the bus actually hit. The truck did return to the scene sometime later, and law enforcement was there making a report.

The law enforcement has not said who or if anyone was charged in the incident.
