Elementary students receive cash prizes for their efforts in Batesburg-Leesville

Batesburg-Leesville, SC - Batesburg-Leesville Elementary School’s PTO recently held a fundraiser with World’s Finest Chocolate to raise money for school-related projects. Two students, fourth grader Aiden Alexander and fifth grader Brenden Herring were the top sellers for the school. Aiden sold 27 cases and Brenden sold 21 cases. Aiden received $350 in cash and Brenden received $250 for their efforts.

Twenty-four other students who sold at least 6 cases of chocolates had the opportunity to “Jump for ABE!,” which allowed these students to jump as far as possible beside $5 bills lined up lengthwise and where they landed beside the $5 bills is the number of $5 bills they received.

The B-L Elementary PTO still has a number of cases left to sell, so any business, or individual who may be willing to sell the candy in order to provide more proceeds for the school, is encouraged to call Barbara Williams at 803-532-1155.
