Lexington, SC (April 20, 2017) – The Lexington Police Department will be conducting a Public Safety Checkpoint within the Town of Lexington on the evening of Saturday, April 22, 2017.
Officers will be conducting the checkpoint in response to collision incidents, Citizen Traffic Complaints, and previous enforcement in this area focused on speeding and unsafe driving practices. Officers will be checking driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, and insurance requirements.
Assisting the Lexington Police Department with this public safety checkpoint will be officers representing agencies who are part of the 11th Circuit Law Enforcement Network.
