LMC Police Officer wounded in an incident on the campus of LMC

West Columbia, SC (Paul Kirby) - Breaking news: There has been an officer involved shooting on the campus of the Lexington Medical Center. One LMC police officer has been wounded and a suspect has been arrested.
According to Thom Berry, spokesman for the SC Law Enforcement Division, agents from SLED and the Lexington County Sheriff's Department, are on the scene and assisting. Berry said that the officer that was wounded is being treated for non-life threatening wounds.
Berry said that the suspect was taken into custody by Lexington County Sheriff Deputies after a short pursuit. This all happened about 7:45 a.m. this morning, according to Jennifer Wilson, spokesperson for LMC.
