Both of Lauren’s parents also attended the University of South Carolina. Her father, Matthew, works for SCANA, and her mother, Jennifer, is a stay-at-home mom. SCANA is an energy-based holding company, based in Cayce.
Lauren has lived in Lexington County her entire life. She attended both Red Bank Elementary School and Carolina Springs Elementary School. Then, she attended Carolina Springs Middle School before entering White Knoll High School.
In school, she was involved in Color Guard, cheerleading, and sports medicine; she was also a member of National Honor Society and Spanish National Honor Society.
Community service was a big part of Lauren’s high school career, and she plans to continue that in college. She is not exactly sure what kind of job she wants after college yet, but she is sure to be a success..
