Airport High School Raises Over $50,000 for Camp Kemo
West Columbia, SC - Airport High School Student Government under the direction of their adviser, Daniel Bailey, held the annual Charity Drive for Camp Kemo this year from February 24- March 5th. This year, over our week span of fundraising, Airport High School raised $50,031.67 for Camp Kemo. This annual fundraiser which has been held by Airport High School for 23 years, partners with Palmetto Health Children's Hospital and Camp Kemo. Students, local businesses, parents, teachers, staff and administration all come together to support children suffering from childhood cancer. Events such as Send-A-Pig, litter box, food fest, 3rd block throw-down, daily dress up days and spirit nights at local restaurants all make up an exciting week for everyone to enjoy. This year students hand-dyed over 150 Camp Kemo logo shirts to show our support for the wonderful organization. One hundred percent (100%) of the proceeds raised from this fundraiser will support over 50 kids going to camp in the summer.
We could not be more proud of our Eagle Family.
