LEXINGTON, S.C. — During a special called board meeting on Thursday, June 15, 2017, at 7:30 a.m., the Lexington County School District One Board of Trustees approved the promotion of Boyce B. “Bryce” Myers IV to the position of director of Lexington Technology Center. He currently serves as assistant director, a position he’s held since 2010.
Myers began his 18-year career in education teaching business courses at North Carolina’s Mount Pleasant High School in Cabarrus County Schools.
He joined Lexington District One’s Lexington Technology Center in 1999, serving as marketing and business instructor. In 2007, he was promoted to administrative assistant, then to assistant director in 2010.
Myers received a Bachelor of Business Administration from Francis Marion University, a Master of Arts in Teaching from Winthrop University, and his principal and secondary certifications from the University of South Carolina.
He is a member of the Association for Career and Technical Education, National Association of Secondary School Principals, South Carolina Association of Career and Technical Education, and South Carolina Association of School Administrators.
While working in Lexington District One, Myers earned LTC’s Teacher of the Year award, the DECA/Marketing Education Association South Carolina Marketing Teacher of the Year award and the South Carolina High School Sports Report Golf Coach of the Year award.
