Lexington, SC - The 5th edition of the Reggaetronic Music festival is setup to be an outstanding event. With an exciting musical line-up, a beautiful location in Lake Murray, and the support of thousands of fans, there will be much fun to be had by all on July 15th.
It’s the final component of 2017’s festival that will make it truly a unique event. Reggaetronic has had a continued recognition with the community and in 2017 has formed a special partnership with an amazing local organization.
Founded in 2010, Camp M.A.T.E.S. (Merging Activities To Enhance Social Skills) is a non-profit organization and summer camp for children and adolescents with social skills deficits which include, but not are not limited to, ADHD, autism, learning disabilities and other developmental disabilities.
“Not only will we be making a contribution to this organization, but we are excited to have a crew of 8 volunteer Camp M.A.T.E.S. staff on hand to aid with the running of this year's epic show,” said Josh Lehew Pre-show Coordinator and Media Director for Reggaetronic. The primary goals of the summer camp are to enhance the overall physical health in their campers, increase psychosocial functioning, and to provide a positive summer experience within a supportive environment. "We hope to give them an unforgettable summer camp experience and look forward to working with them,” said Lehew.
Reggaetronic is a free floating festival open to the public and its location on Spence Island is only reachable by boat.
While inventory is limited, rental boat craft are still available from Lake Murray Water Sports & Entertainment, Aqua Fun Boat Rentals, and various other Lake Murray marinas. You are encouraged to bring your boat to Spence Island and join a crowd of thousands to enjoy the diverse lineup of live band and dj entertainment!
