Sheriff’s Department investigation Tuesday night shooting near Gilbert

July 27, 2017

Gilbert, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a shooting incident that left two men hurt late Tuesday night. The incident took place in the 100 block of Indian Trace Court which runs off Two Notch Road just west of Gilbert High School.

According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the department, deputies responded to a house at that location about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday night. When they arrived, they found two males on the scene who had suffered gunshot wounds to the upper body. Both were transported to the hospital with what appear to be non-life-threatening injuries.

Myrick said that no arrests have been made and our investigation is ongoing.
