Community prayer service set for baby with serious heart condition
South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) Recently, #Pray4Grey, and #GreysonStrong hashtags have been saturating social media in the Midlands. According to Steve Knight with the Midland’s Youth Sports, this is all being done in support of a baby from the area that was born with a serious heart condition.
According to Knight, baby Greyson had to be airlifted to MUSC after his birth. During that transport, baby Greyson almost passed away. The doctors have now identified his condition as congenital aortic stenosis with abnormal thickening of his other vessels.
A community prayer service that is open to the public has been organized. It will be held this Thursday, August 10th at Congaree Baptist Church beginning at 7p.m. During the service, a love offering will be collected to help cover some of the family’s expenses. Currently, the family is having to stay in Charleston and baby Greyson has multiple surgeries in his future.
The community is reaching out to the community to invite as many people as possible to show up and pray for the baby. If you’re not able to donate money, the organizers remind us all to pray to our sovereign Heavenly Father for his healing and support. Please remember to pray for Grey and come join the service if you can.
