Lexington, SC - A suspect led Lexington County Sheriff's deputies on a pursuit late Wednesday. The pursuit started on I-20 and continued all the way to Newberry County. A deputy tried to stop a car on I-20, but the driver didn't stop and instead initiated a pursuit.
Newberry county deputies finally deployed tire deflation devices on I-26 near the 71 mile-marker to stop the chase. That is almost 20 miles into that neighboring county.
The driver is now under arrest and faces several charges regarding his action. At this time, deputies have not released the driver's name or the charges.
