Chinese Minister-Counselor Jianjun Cen Meets with Teacher Representative of East Point Academy
West Columbia, SC - On August 1st, 2017, Mr. Jianjun Cen, the Minister-Counselor for Education of the Embassy of China, met with Ms. Junlan Li as the representative of East Point Academy (EPA), at the Education Office of the Embassy of China in Washington D.C. Second Secretary Jie Gao from the Office of Education Affairs of the Chinese Embassy also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, Ms. Li gave Mr. Cen the most gracious regards from Mr. Mark Bounds, the principal of EPA, and conveyed Mr. Bounds’ gratitude for the consistent support that Chinese Embassy has been offering to EPA through the Confucius Institute.
Miss Li also briefed Mr. Cen on how EPA has continued to grow over the past six years as the only Chinese immersion charter school in Carolinas. Minister-Counselor Cen thought highly of the contributions that EPA has made to the educational and cultural exchange between the United States and China. He hoped that EPA continues to play a leading role in Chinese language and culture teaching.
