Mayor Skip Wilson is running for re-election

Chapin, SC - In 1980, Dallas fans were guessing who shot J.R., PAC-MAN was the hot arcade game, and Skip Wilson had big hair. 1980 was also the year that his predecessor was elected. Obviously, lots of things have changed since 1980; and the Town of Chapin should change with the times, all the while keeping the small-town feel.

Since being elected in 2013, Mayor Skip has brought responsible growth to Chapin by doing what’s right to help the community. Below, is a sample of some accomplishments that he’s proud of so far:

-Restored financial integrity and accountability to the Town, in part, by reviewing and signing every check himself.

-Brought utility operations in-house, which saves approximately $200,000 a year and greatly improved customer service so that residents have an actual person to call when there is a power-outage emergency.

-Brought the Town into the 21st Century in terms of technology and online presence and communication in the greater Chapin community.
