Lexington wife arrested for murder of husband
Lexington, SC (September 27, 2017) – Chief Terrence Green said Wednesday that Kimberly Fletcher Groh, age 51, of Lexington, South Carolina, was arrested for the murder of her husband, Michael Jennings Bryan.
At approximately 1:40 a.m. on November 30, 2016, officers of the Lexington Police Department were dispatched to a shooting incident that had occurred at 805 Corley Street. Upon arrival, officers found Michael Bryan deceased in bed with a single gunshot wound to his chest.
After an exhaustive investigation, which included interviews, forensic examination of electronic devices, along with blood spatter and ballistics testing, it was determined that Kimberly Groh shot Michael Bryan with a rifle.
Arrest warrants for Kimberly Groh were obtained on September 25, 2017 and she turned herself in to the Lexington Police Department on the morning of September 26, 2017.
At the time of his death, Michael Jennings Bryan was 55 years old.
Chief Terrence Green said “Ten months has passed since the death of Michael Bryan and the patience of the Bryan family was appreciated as detectives diligently worked through every aspect of this tragic investigation. I hope that the arrest of Kimberly Groh brings closure and answers to Michael Bryan’s family and friends.

Kimberly Fletcher Groh is being held at the Lexington County Detention Center and is awaiting a bond hearing on the charges of Murder and Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime.
