Chapin's Mayor Skip Wilson agrees to participate in second debate on November 2nd

Chapin, SC - On Thursday, November 2nd at 6:30 pm, the incumbent mayor of the town of Chapin says that he will square off against his opponents Shayla Flores & David Knight in a mayoral debate. The debate will take place at the Tipsy Toad Tavern on 103 Beaufort St. (

Paul Kirby of the Lexington Ledger ( will moderate and will keep the questions to topics that the Chapin Mayor can directly influence. Those topics are: Public Safety, Finances, Utilities, & Quality of Life.

Since being elected in 2013, Mayor Skip says that he has achieved the following accomplishments:

  • Managed & Led the Town of Chapin Four Successful Years

  • Balanced Town Budget Every Year Since Being Elected

  • Improved & Increased Communications with the Community, Local & State Officials

  • Recruited Businesses & Created Jobs

  • Brought Transparency into all Municipal Operations

  • Increased General Fund Revenue almost 25% without Raising Taxes

  • Hired Professional and Experienced People within Town Hall Operations

  • Increased Business License Revenue without Raising Fees

  • Eliminated Cronyism
