Chapin’s Flores says she’s more than willing to debate other candidates on issues
Chapin, SC - Candidate for mayor of the town of Chapin Shayla Flores said in a prepared statement released Tuesday that she is excited for the opportunity to participate in the upcoming mayoral debate on Thursday November 2nd, at the Tipsy Toad Tavern. The Tipsy Toad is a local eatery and pub that has played host to many of the candidate’s meet and greet occasions in the past.
Flores said, “I would like to thank Mr. Paul Kirby of the Lexington Ledger and Steve Wall, the owner of the Tipsy Toad for hosting this event. I believe the citizens of Chapin deserve to hear from their candidates as much as possible prior to election day. I feel that it is crucial for our neighbors to make the best decision when they cast their ballot on November 7th. With Mr. Paul’s record of fair and honest reporting, I know this debate will be fair to all the candidates. I look forward to discussing the issues facing our town with the other candidates and the town’s citizens. If any of my opponents choose not to participate and answer these crucial question, I don’t think they are prepared to serve as mayor.”
Flores has run a campaign themed around moving Chapin forward, while still preserving the past and what makes Chapin such a special place. Her extensive education in city planning makes her the most qualified candidate to lead Chapin during this critical transition period for the town, according to her statement.
