Chapin lifts Boil Water Advisory for Amicks Ferry Road peninsula residents

Chapin, SC (October 31, 2017) -- As of 1:30 pm today (Oct. 31), the Town of Chapin has lifted its Boil Water Advisory for the Amicks Ferry Road peninsula. Water samples provided came back with satisfactory results from the lab, and residents no longer need to boil their drinking water.

On Monday at 9:00 am, the Chapin Utilities Department issued a Boil Water Advisory for Chapin water customers located on Amicks Ferry Road from Timberlake to the end of the peninsula as a result of damage by a contractor to a 10” water main in Timberlake. The line was repaired and back in service by midday Monday.
