Community leader shares love of reading

Lexington, SC - Students at Saxe Gotha Elementary School learned how reading made a difference for a leader from their community during a special visit.

Christie Fleming, community relations coordinator at Lexington Interfaith Community Services, stopped by SGES to talk about the importance of reading. She spoke to students in Mrs. Chapman’s class and presented them with LICS Bucks to spend at the LICS Thrift Store.

Fleming also gave each student a book which they enjoyed reading right away.
