Seven Oaks Park’s 36th Annual Santa’s Market shows off festive wares

56 Merchants on Hand for annual SOP Christmas Show Saturday

Seven Oaks, SC (James Bowers) - Saturday saw another great holiday tradition in the Irmo-Chapin area. Seven Oaks Park held its 36th annual Santa’s Market craft show at its Leisure Lane facility.

56 merchants were on hand, selling a variety of goods such as holiday treats, handmade jewelry, and cool creations made with a 3-D printer. The festivities ran from 8:30 am thru 2:30 pm.The show is always a popular affair; in fact, at times parking gets tough and some event-goers park on Leisure Lane or at neighboring Leaphart Elementary.

The Santa’s Market Holiday Craft Show is just one of several ways that Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission facilities are ringing in the season. The Holiday Lights at the River at Saluda Shoals Park are also shining nightly through December 31. The holiday season has also seen the Holiday Market at Crooked Creek Park and Story Time with Santa at SOP.

Next on the ICRC holiday schedule are the Candy Cane Hunt at Crooked Creek Park (think Easter eggs replaced with candy canes), and a Holiday Brunch for the community’s senior citizens at Irmo High School. The Irmo-Chapin Recreation Commission is in full gear this holiday season. For more information on ICRC and its programs, visit
