Well-known Main Street Lexington businessman is running for open town council seat

May 9, 2018

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington business owner and lifelong resident Jeremy Addy has decided he will run for the open seat on the Town of Lexington’s town council. Addy is the owner of Craig Reagin Clothiers on Main Street in the heart of the town.

Addy said in his announcement that he will run, sent to The Lexington Ledger by e-mail, that in the past, members of his family have served the Lexington community in various capacities including being mayor, philanthropists, and business owners and earning a reputation for courtesy and fairness. Addy says he hopes that by serving as a council member he can become a friend of the community and help launch Lexington into a period of prolonged prosperity.

Addy graduated from Lexington High School where he participated in varsity athletics and earned academic honors.  He also attended Clemson University where he graduated magna cum laude while earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Minor in Financial Management.

Since graduation from Clemson in 2013, he has owned and operated Craig Reagin Clothiers on Main Street in downtown Lexington.  Under his leadership, he has developed Craig Reagin into a retail shop that nationally ranks among top sellers for various brands.  Addy said in his release, “Success I have achieved in business has given me the opportunity to give back to my community through sponsorships, participation with local schools, and consulting with other businesses to strengthen Lexington’s identity.”

Addy says that if he’s elected, he will utilize the position to lead the investment in the Lexington community through business growth, volunteer work, efficient spending, and healthy living
