Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) Elton Mishoe, a country music artist who was raised in the Lexington area and attended Lexington High School, is climbing the ladder to success as a country music artist. Mishoe, not only an accomplished singer but also a talented songwriter, started locally but has since been picked up by AOK Records who recognized his raw talent and has helped in promoting his career so that more people are being exposed to his unique sound and own true form of a return to a traditional kind of country music.
Recently, Mishoe performed with several other artist at Farm Bash '18, a concert held at Culler Farms in the Sandy Run area of the Midlands. There, a crowd of 6,000 Country music lovers enjoyed the show as Mishoe rocked the stage to the delight of those who came to hear solid Country music. At that event, iHeart Radio personality Kelly Nash of WCOS radio introduced Mishoe by heralding the "lyrical genius of his songwriting" and "his integral part in making this concert series happen."Performing with a live veteran band, Elton treated the audience to original hits like Ace of Hearts, Thank God for the Little Things, and Lexington Wildcat. He also sang his most recent radio singles, including Rockin' Chair and Bar Exam, which was written by producer, Adam Knight.
Other artists appearing on the slate with Mishoe included Jamey Johnson, Sammy Kershaw, Colt Ford, The LACS, and internet sensation Karen Waldrup.
