Lexington Police Department investigators asking for help with car break in

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington Police Department is turning to the public for help in catching two men believed to have broken into a car at a Lexington gym and stealing personal items from it. The police then believe these men went to some nearby retail stores and used stolen credit cards to purchase things of value.

Police say that the break in of the car happened at Planet Fitness in Lexington. They say that the two African American men who are the suspects went into the car and took a wallet that had credit cards in it. They left the gym, went to a nearby Walgreens and Wal-Mart and bought items with the cards. They then drove away in a silver sedan. The men and the car they were driving were very clearly caught on surveillance cameras.

Police ask that you look at the men and the car closely. If you know who they are or have any idea about them, please contact Detective Lee at the Lexington Police Department. Lee can be reached at (803) 358-1517.
