Sheriff’s department investigating shooting at Red Bank bar Sunday morning

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) A man was shot at a bar in the 1900 block of Old Barnwell Road just after midnight Sunday morning. Deputies from the Lexington County Sheriff’s Department responded as did units from Lexington County EMS and the fire service.

According to Captain Adam Myrick, spokesman for the LCSD, when their deputies arrived they encountered a white male who had suffered a gunshot wound. He was transported to a hospital for further treatment of his injury, which is not thought to be life-threatening. Myrick did say that investigators had been assigned to the case. He has not said if anyone has been arrested or if any charges are currently pending.
