Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The SCHP has released the details of the wreck that killed one-man Sunday evening. According Lance Corporal David Jones, the man was the only person that was in the vehicle when it crashed.
Jones said that the victim of the crash was driving a 1998 Ford Explorer north on Park Road when it ran off the right side of the road, struck an embankment, and overturned into a pond. Someone went into the pond and pulled the man from the car. When first responders arrived, a bystander was already doing CPR on the man, but he eventually died on the scene. Coroner Margaret Fisher has not yet released the victim’s name.
