Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department assists Saluda County with overturned tractor
Batesburg-Leesville, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Batesburg-Leesville Fire Department responded with their Engine 251 into Saluda County Friday after a tractor that was being towed behind a pickup truck flipped on its side along with the trailer it was on. The overturned backhoe was on Summerland Hwy (Hwy. 391) in Saluda County just past Beulah Road. The roadway was totally blocked for a period of time but, there were no injuries to the driver or passenger of the truck towing the tractor.
The B&L crews and equipment stood by until the Saluda County Sheriff's Department and SC Transport Police responded to the scene. Minick's Wrecker Service responded and the firefighters supported them clearing the roadway before returning to their station.
