Identities of last weekend's vehicle tampering and theft of items suspects sought

Lexington, SC (August 24, 2018) – Chief Terrence Green is asking for help from the community in identifying two black males and a black female who were involved in a series of auto tampering and theft from motor vehicle incidents of unsecured vehicles.

In the early morning hours of Sunday, August 19, 2018, over fifty vehicles in six neighborhoods within the Town of Lexington were tampered with and items were stolen from over a dozen vehicles. Examples of items stolen included several handguns, a hunting rifle, credit cards, sunglasses, purses, wallets, prescription pills and mobile phones.

The neighborhoods involved in these incidents were Coventry, Mallard Lakes, Gibson Forest East, Willowbrooke, Westbrook and Martin's Grove.

During the course of the investigation it was found that two black males along with a black female made purchases at a Walmart in Columbia, South Carolina with stolen credit cards within a short time after when the theft from motor vehicle incidents occurred.

The suspects involved in these incidents are believed to be in their late teens to early twenties. The black female is described as slender with short hair and she was seen wearing black pants with a burgundy Cleveland Cavaliers tank top jersey with the number “23” on it.

The suspects involved in these incidents were seen in a gray in color four door sedan with silver wheel rims and a sun roof.
