“Trick-Transcending” performer has won several awards, admiration of celebs including Jay Leno and Regis Philbin
Irmo, SC (James Bowers) - Harbison Theatre’s 2018-2019 season will kick off with a “mystifying” magic show when world-renowned magician Mike Super performs on Friday, September 7.
Super is the winner of the hit NBC reality competition show Phenomenon and was also a top finalist on the hugely popular America’s Got Talent. Super has been called “magic’s newest superstar” for his innovative take on the medium, with shows including elements like a game of “Clue” with the audience. Super has won two Entertainer of the Year Merlin awards, magic’s version of the Emmys, and has performed his magic for notables such as Criss Angel, Jay Leno, and Regis Philbin. The 49-year-old Pennsylvania native says he has lived a life, “characterized by an obsession and passion,” for magic. Super claims his success is due to a “natural ability to entertain.”
The Super show kicks off a busy 2018-2019 season for Harbison Theatre. The venue will host over 15 events this year. Later in the month the theater, which is located at Midlands Technical College’s Harbison campus will welcome acclaimed jazz troupe The Reggie Sullivan Quintet on September 21 and a production of School House Rock Live! On September 21.
