Lexington County Sheriff’s Department announces promotions and transfers

LEXINGTON, S.C. – Lexington County Sheriff Jay Koon recently promoted eight deputies, and one correctional officer, transferred one deputy and appointed another.

 

Graham Chrisley has been promoted to field training officer in the Lexington County Detention Center. Chrisley, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a correctional officer. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2017.

 

Kevin Egan has been promoted to field training officer in patrol. Egan, a resident of Chapin, previously served as a deputy in the department’s west region, which is based near Gilbert. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in August 2015.

 

Frank Finch has been promoted to sergeant in investigations. Finch previously served as an investigator in the department’s south region, which is based near Pelion. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in March 2000.

 

Jamie Gwyn has been transferred to Gilbert resident deputy. Gwyn, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a school resource officer. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2005.

 

Terry Hall has been promoted to school resource officer. Hall, a resident of Lexington, previous served as court services deputy. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in July 2017.

 

Nathaniel Mazzell has been promoted to master deputy in patrol. Mazzell, a resident of Pelion, previously served as a field training officer in the department’s west region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in March 2015.

 

Bryan Sharpe has been appointed to the crisis negotiations team. Sharpe, a resident of Lexington, also serves as a master deputy in the department’s south region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in August 2015.

 

Shannon Watlington has been promoted to school resource officer. Watlington, a resident of Columbia, previously served as a deputy in the department’s south region. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in July 2017.

 

Bradley Wilke has been promoted to field training officer in patrol. Wilke, a resident of Aiken, previously served as a deputy in the department’s north region, which is based near Irmo. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in March 2017.

 

Kristy Williams has been promoted to code enforcement officer in the department’s south region. Williams, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a court services deputy. She was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in January 2009.

 

 

 

Steven Yancey has been promoted to Pelion resident deputy. Yancey, a resident of Lexington, previously served as a deputy in the department’s south region. He was appointed to serve as a deputy sheriff in March 2017.
