Jim Mitchell resigns from Batesburg-Leesville Town Council District 6
Batesburg-Leesville, SC (Angelica Iglesias) – Jim Mitchell resigned from Batesburg-Leesville Town Council District 6 at the end of the council’s work session on August 27, 2018.
Mitchell has moved and will no longer live in the district that he was elected. His resignation is effective immediately; he is closing on the sale of his home August 28.
Mitchell served on council for 10 months. He and his wife will continue to run their business in Batesburg-Leesville, Mitchell Printing and Graphics, and be involved in their other civic commitments.
“Our keen interest in the progress of our town, does not and will not end with our change of address,” Mitchell said in his resignation letter.
