Lexington, SC - White Knoll High School invites local families, students and Timberwolves fans to a tailgating event Friday, September 7.
WKHS and Burger King have a formed a partnership to promote “Pack Pride,” a campaign to combat bullying and lift up the community by focusing on school morale and unity. Events will take place at the WKHS stadium parking lot from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. before the Timberwolves take on Aiken.
Students have organized multiple activities for the tailgating social, including cornhole games, face painting and salsa dancing lessons.
Before coming to the event, fans can purchase a meal at the local Burger King, located at 1819 S Lake Drive in Lexington. The restaurant will donate 25 percent of sales made from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. September 7 to WKHS.
As part of WKHS’s efforts to reduce instances of bullying, the school will show a video message created by Burger King about the effects of bullying and the importance of intervening. The video will screen prior to kickoff at three home games this season.
