Lexington, SC (October 1, 2018) – The annual Lexington Police Department “Adopt-A-Cop” Fall Festival is approaching and Chief Terrence Green would like to invite local businesses and organizations to consider being part of this event along with thanking those that have been involved in making this event great each year.
The “Adopt-A-Cop” Fall Festival will be Tuesday, October 23, 2018 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. As in years past, the Fall Festival will be a night of family fun featuring games, food, costume contests, rides, and more. The cost for the event will be $5 per person or $20 per family.
The “Adopt-A-Cop” Fall Festival continues to grow and this event has been an excellent way for the Lexington Police Department to work with many community organizations and business partners to create a safe event that is enjoyable for the whole family. Attendance for the “Adopt-A-Cop” event typically surpasses 2,000 people.
This event helps to fund the Lexington Police Department’s “Adopt-A-Cop” foundation which is an innovative approach to community resource development. The Lexington Police Department is seeking new partners and sponsors to offset costs related to event along with putting additional monies into the “Adopt-A-Cop” fund for future needs.
The Lexington Police Department is specifically looking for local restaurants who would be interested in serving food during the event, gift cards for the costume contest and monetary donations which will cover items such as food, drinks, event rentals, and other necessary costs associated with the “Adopt-A-Cop” Fall Festival.
