Cayce, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - Denise Setzler withdrew her candidacy for Lexington Two School Board during a political forum held by the Great Cayce-West Columbia Chamber of Commerce October 15 at Cayce Elementary School.
Setzler said she did not want to split the vote for candidates who have a chance at beating incumbents like Linda Alford-Wooten and Brad Giles. Alford-Wooten is currently the Chair for the board. There are three seats open for election.
Tonya Crawford Mozenko was the only candidate who did not attend the forum. The four other candidates were Wayne McKim, James "Bud" Summers, Christina Rucker, and John Neal.
All six candidates in attendance gave a personal introductions. Then, they participated in a question and answer period with questions provided by the Chamber; questions could be submitted online by the community. At the end, they gave their closing statements. After the formal forum was over, the community had the opportunity to meet the candidates.
Gavin Smith moderated the political forum. The election is November 6.
