Lexington, SC (Angelica Iglesias) - The Town of Lexington's voters turned out Tuesday, November 6, to select the person who would serve as the town's mayor for the next four-years in strong numbers. Current Town Councilman Ron Williams ran against popular incumbent Steve MacDougall.
MacDougall won the race with 3,878 votes. Williams showed a respectable turn out with 3,137 votes. At times this race got a bit negative but hopefully both men are mature enough to put all that behind them to serve the interest of the people who elected them in whatever capacity to lead the town.
Steve MacDougall has been mayor since 2013. Williams still retains the seat he holds on the council.
