Driver of car arrested after crashing and causing traffic tie-up on South Lake Drive late Friday
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – A vehicle collision that occurred after 10:00 p.m. Friday blocked one lane of South Lake Drive at Railroad Avenue in Lexington. According to a motorist who was passing as police and EMS units were pulling up, the small SUV was off the road and appeared as if might have rolled over. Eventually, police officers closed one lane of South Lake Drive and were detouring traffic down Railroad Avenue.
According to the Lexington Police Department, the driver of the car was transported by Lexington EMS for treatment at a local medical facility. After being released, that person was arrested for driving under the influence.
