“Coffee with a Cop” with Lexington PD and Dickerson Center representatives planned at Café Strudel
Lexington, SC – The Lexington Police Department is inviting everyone to come meet Chief Terrence Green and other officers for a cup of coffee and conversation at the quarterly “Coffee with a Cop” event which will be at Café Strudel located at 309 South Lake Drive in Lexington, South Carolina on Wednesday, March 13, 2019.
Service for this event will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 10:30 a.m., Chief Terrence Green, along with officers from each division, chaplains and Volunteers In Police Services (V.I.P.S.) members will be on hand to answer questions, discuss issues or concerns, provide information on the many services and events that the Lexington Police Department offers the Town of Lexington community and enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee together.
A focus for Coffee with a Cop events this year will be to highlight and have in attendance a community partner who works closely with the Lexington Police Department. Representatives of the Dickerson Children’s Advocacy Center will be attending this event and will have representatives to speak about the important work that their staff does within the community and to assist law enforcement with investigations involving juvenile victims of crime.
Coffee with a Cop is a nationally recognized program with over 2000 participating communities to establish better communication between police officers and the public, establish trust and transparency and to build positive relationships in an informal setting.
