Law enforcement officers take Town of Lexington burglary suspect into custody
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Law enforcement officers have taken David Kemp Ferguson into custody over the weekend. He was arrested in NC on multiple Lexington Police Department warrants related to a series of burglaries that occurred recently on West Main Street in the Town of Lexington.
On Friday, March 22 at approximately 3:00 a.m., Lexington police officers were dispatched to the 400 block of West Main Street for a suspicious subject that was spotted in the area. An officer doing property checks saw Ferguson inside a business and went to investigate. When Ferguson saw the officer, he fled into some woods and was able to slip away. Officers later found that Ferguson had burglarized both the Lexington Driving Academy and the Deroin Tax & Business Service. He had also stolen a car he was using in the burglaries.
Ferguson will be returned to Lexington County where he will face these and other charges related to this crime.
