Lexington / Columbia, SC – Price Benowitz LLP is pleased to announce that Dayne Phillips has been selected to the 2019 South Carolina Super Lawyers Rising Stars list for the third consecutive year.
The annual Super Lawyers Rising Stars list recognizes attorneys under 40 years old and selects no more than 2.5 percent of attorneys in each state. The selection process is multi-phased and includes independent research, peer nominations, and peer evaluations.
Born and raised in the Pine Ridge area of Lexington County, Dayne graduated from Airport High School in 2003 and the University of South Carolina School of Law in 2010. He is also a graduate of the National Criminal Defense College and the National Forensic College.
Dayne is the immediate past President of the South Carolina Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and was recognized by Columbia Business Monthly as Columbia’s Legal Elite for Criminal Law in 2018. He is also the State Delegate for the National College for DUI Defense and former Eleventh Circuit Representative on the SC Bar House of Delegates.
Notably, he has received the AV Preeminent Peer Rating by Martindale-Hubbell and his cases have been featured in The State Newspaper, SC Lawyers Weekly, and local TV news stations. He has also lectured on topics such as constitutional rights, motions practice, and preserving issues for appellate review at training seminars.
Phillips is also a co-host of South Carolina legal podcast that is regularly record in Lexington County. He and his wife have one daughter and live in the Lexington area.
