Man uses fraudulent check to obtain merchandise and cash back in Lexington Wal-Mart
Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington Police Department has found that the public is often one of their best resources in investigating some crimes that take place in the town. Many of the crimes that have happened at retail stores have been solved by good video surveillance and sharp-eyed people making a phone call to the police. Now, they’re hoping you can do it again.
Investigators are looking for a black male that used a check at Wal-Mart to buy items and receive cash back. He appears to be young, of a slender build, and is wearing blue jeans and a t-shirt. He is also wearing light tan or yellow shoes or boots. At the time of the crime, he had close cropped hair.
Once the man left the store, he got into a burgundy car that someone else was driving. The car is sporty looking and has nice aluminum style rims that may be stock. The man driving was waiting for him, and the pair immediately pulled away.
Please look at the video closely. If you recognize the car or the man, please contact Detective Voravudhi at 803-358-1514 or by email email@example.com. As always, your help is appreciated.
