Lexington County Sheriff’s Department investigating what may have been a drive-by shooting near Red Bank

May 15, 2019

Red Bank, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington County Sheriff’s Department is investigating what may have been a drive-by shooting at a mobile home park off Hunt Road near Platt Springs Road. This is in the vicinity of the old Village Store, now a 7-Eleven, and L.A. Barrier & Sons Trucking. This occurred sometime overnight and investigators and crime scene technicians have been on the scene.

A spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department says that one person was struck by the gunshots in the lower body. Their injuries are apparently non-life threatening. They have not said if any arrest has been made or if they have identified any suspects. They have also not released a motive for the shooting.
