Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – Lexington County Coroner Margaret Fisher has identified the woman who died in a single vehicle accident that occurred in the 600 block of West Dunbar Road near South Congaree Thursday night. The accident happened at approximately 8:45 p.m. According to Coroner Fisher, Alexis Younginer, 26, of Irmo was pronounced dead at the scene due to her injuries.
Fisher said in her statement that Younginer’s vehicle left the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree. She was wearing a seat belt when the incident occurred. Rescue workers from Lexington County had to extricate Younginer from the wreckage where she was trapped after the wreck.
The South Carolina Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
