South Congaree, SC (Paul Kirby) – The South Congaree Police Department is asking the public if they can help them locate a trailer that was stolen on May 16th from San Sus Drive in the town. This happened around 4:30 a.m.
Police Chief Josh Shumpert said that whoever took the vehicle was driving a mid-sized SUV they think was a Jeep Cherokee. It was caught on camera taking the black, dual axle trailer. If you have any idea who that might be, call the South Congaree Police Department at (803) 755-2760.
The police also want to remind anyone that has a trailer, a motorcycle, lawnmower, an ATV, or anything else that can easily be taken, needs to be able to be positively identified. They remind you to write down the serial number of any item that has one and mark trailers with a welder or etching tool in a place where it can’t be seen. Then they suggest that you take a photograph of the marking and keep that.
