Lexington, SC – Chief Terrence Green of the Lexington Police Department said Monday that their department is hoping that the public can provide information on the whereabouts of Jamal Theron Davis, age 30 of Columbia, SC. The department has several warrants for his arrest from an incident that occurred on May 26, 2019.
At approximately 11:30 p.m. on Sunday night, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of East Main Street after a call about a domestic violence incident. Officers met with a female victim who told them that her estranged husband used force to break into her apartment by kicking the door in. Once inside, the man, who she identified as Jamal Davis, punched her in the face and knocked her mobile phone from her hands to prevent her from calling the police. She was able to flee from the apartment hoping to find help. Davis followed her and began punching her in the head and face again. He then fled from scene in a dark green sedan. The victim was transported to the hospital and was treated for injuries sustained in the attack.
Jamal Davis is a black male with an approximate height of 5’9” and weight of 210 pounds.
The Lexington Police Department has several arrest warrants for Davis. Those include charges for Domestic Violence – 2nd Degree and Burglary – 1st Degree.
