Lexington swim instructor by day, Elvis Tribute Artist by night!

Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – For decades, hordes of Lexington parents have known Jim Reiser as one of the best swimming instructors around. In fact, in 2015, he became the first American in 10 years to be honored by the International Swimming Hall of Fame for his Learn-to-Swim curriculum and approach to teaching infants, toddlers and children to swim. Jim is the owner of The Swim Lessons Company which is celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year!

What most Lexington parents and students don’t know is that Jim has an alter ego. By day Jim spends his time teaching, but when he’s away from the water, he changes into……Elvis! Yes, my friends, the peanut butter, bacon, and banana sandwich eating, arched lip, hip shaking, internationally famous rock & roller Elvis Presley. Although we do believe Elvis really left the building in August of 1977, Jim does a great impersonation of “The King.” Jim has quickly become one of the top Elvis Tribute Artists around.

Recently, Jim was honored to have been selected as one of the top 25 Tribute Artists from around the country. This got him invited to perform at the Georgia Elvis Festival held last March. Thousands of Elvis fans attended the annual event held at the Historical Ritz Theatre in Brunswick, Georgia. What student would even know that Mr. Reiser, mild mannered swim teacher by day, is one of the hottest Hunka-Hunka Burning Loves at other times!

Don’t take our word for it. Now, you can see Elvis Tribute Artist Jim Reiser perform yourself. Husbands, we must warn you to take the smelling salts for your wives. On Saturday, June 29th at The Venue on Main, Jim will perform a full show. The Venue on Main is located at 1624 Main Street in downtown Columbia. Tickets are just $10 and on sale now thru Eventbrite. You can also read more about the event on ETA Jim Reiser’s Facebook Page, see video demos and more!
