Lexington Police Department continues to use public as a resource for catching shoplifters

Lexington Police Department continues to use public as a resource for catching shoplifters Lexington, SC (Paul Kirby) – The Lexington Police Department is continuing their efforts to aggressively investigate and arrest shoplifters in the town. Shoplifting doesn’t just hurt big businesses; it effects all shoppers who do the right thing and pay for the items they select. Investigators have learned that the public makes the best partners in identifying and finding these people who are taking advantage of everyone. Now, detectives hope that you can once again help them find an older woman who is believed to have shoplifted from the Target on Sunset several times.

She has been caught on camera inside and exiting the store. The police are releasing those photos so that someone might recognize her and give them the tip they need to catch and stop this woman. She is Caucasian and appears to be either middle aged or a senior. She is wearing glasses and has been carrying a large bag on her right shoulder. She leaves the parking lot in a white, mid-size, four-door car.

Please look at the photos closely. Pass them around to your friends. If you have any idea who she is, please contact Detective Smith at (803) 358-7262 or by e-mail at dsmith@lexsc.com.
